My name is Laura J and I am the new owner and administrator of Gluten Free Network.

Richard and I completed the transfer on Sunday and I have been busy with the transition.

Just a note...If you registered here within the last few days but can't log in...please register again. I know that there were a few new members here during the transition and it will be easier if you just reregister.  Shouldn't be any more lost members from now on 

I am truly excited about this site and have many ideas. But more importantly, I want to know what YOU want. Please...send me a private message and tell me:

This is YOUR community and I want to make it a great place for you. Don't hesitate to contact me about anything regarding this forum.

You will notice a few changes over the next week or so. Already you will notice that the forum is on a different software platform. Stay tuned for some other tweaks and fun stuff to come. I'll be giving a little facelift to the site.

Well, let's see...

I'm a freelance web developer. I been doing this for the past three or so years actively, but have been online and involved with Internet and computer things since longer than I can remember  ;)

I run another forum and one of my members there is a member here and she let me know about the site being for sale. I can see that this site has great potential and some great people. I was eager to get involved and see how I could make it come into its own and grow. 

I really enjoy running online communities and love to let people interact freely, share resources and connect with others. I HATE forums where the rules and restrictions get so ridiculous that it stifles discussion and makes people grumpy. You won't find any of that here. You're free to speak openly here about pretty much anything, as long as you don't attack others. 

I am not gluten intolerant but I do love food   

I live in the U.S. and the east coast with my husband and rottweiler/German shepherd. I'm excited about being part of a community that spans the globe.
